Fifteen years ago, my journey towards Making Healthcare Hispanic-Friendly began, stemming from a personal challenge: being denied healthcare services due to my undocumented status, an unfortunate reality still faced by many in America today.

This negative experience was a turning point, inspiring me to dedicate already a decade of my career in healthcare to ensure that members of my community (Hispanics) never have to endure similar hardships.

This mission, born out of a personal struggle, has been the driving force behind my work and the creation of this newsletter.

I plan to open up about this harrowing experience: my struggle with being denied crucial health services and facing a life-threatening situation. A testament to the resilience we often need in the face of a healthcare system that can (99%) sometimes fail us.
